From Beautiful Places to Meaningful Moments
I’ve always been drawn to the same things wherever I travel.
Old buildings that have stood through centuries and still have a story to tell. Gardens somebody tended with real care, whether it’s a grand estate or a little courtyard tucked behind a café. Waterfalls that make you stop talking for a minute because there’s nothing to add.
Those are the places that stay with me long after the trip is over, and they’re what taught me to slow down and
pay attention wherever I am, even at home on the porch.- Debbie

A few things about me

I Collect Recipes
I guess my love of collecting recipes started long before I even realized it.
My daddy used to go to auctions and come home with boxes of old cookbooks, recipe clippings, church supper books, handwritten cards, and little kitchen treasures that somebody else had once loved. I didn’t know it then, but those boxes were full of more than recipes. They were full of family dinners, Sunday desserts, covered dish suppers, and the kind of food people made when they were feeding folks they loved.

Home does not have to be perfect to be a haven. It just has to feel like yours.
It is the sound of paws following you from room to room. The smell of something cooking in the kitchen. The quiet joy of seeing something blooming outside. The comfort of a rainy afternoon when there is nowhere else you need to be.
The older I get, the more I understand that home is one of life’s sweetest blessings. It is where we rest, create, gather, heal, pray, laugh, and begin again.
And for me, there is no place more peaceful than home.
