Gather the Right Equipment
To catch crabs, you’ll need basic crabbing gear:
Crab traps or pots: These come in various types, like ring nets, box traps, and collapsible traps.
Bait: Crabs are attracted to strong-smelling bait. Chicken necks, fish heads, or squid work well.
A line and buoy: Attach these to your traps to mark their location.
A cooler with ice: Once you catch crabs, you’ll want to keep them cool and fresh

Once you’ve caught, cooked, and cleaned your crabs, it’s time to turn that fresh meat into a delectable crab dip.
