New York State Flat Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup margarine
- 6 tbsp cold water
- enough apples sectioned
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- a little lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
Instructions
- Peel, core and section each apple into 6 slices
- Put flour, butter and margarine on marble slab
- Cut with knife until it is like corn meal
- Then put in bowl and add ice water
- Handle just enough so that it stays together
- Roll into 1" thickness
- Place in refrigerator for 20 minutes
- Roll out again after removing from refrigerator, to 1/8 of and inch
- Use a flat pan or baking sheet 15 x 10 inches
- Cover with prepared crust
- Arrange sectioned apples in one layer.
- Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon after mixing together
- Sprinkle with lemon juice
- Set oven heat to 450 and bake 20 minutes
- Then reduce heat to 350 and bake for 30 more minutes
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with 1/2 cup New York State Maple Syrup
